THE NINE LAWS

CHAPTER #3.4

LAW #4: HYBRID MEMBERSHIPS

All clients should be on a hybrid membership, which includes a combination of group classes and periodic one-on-one training depending on their wants, needs and goals. In some cases, the hybrid membership might include individual program design to accommodate any specific needs or goals the client might have.

Tip: Though all clients are unique, we have found the most successful hybrid membership includes group classes, possibly individual program design, plus one personal training session in conjunction with your programming cycles. This allows the coach to help prepare the clients for the next programming cycle to ensure they’re approaching it in the most effective way for their abilities.

In Practice:

Those who have implemented hybrid memberships have found it to be the easiest, most effective way to increase average client value and client retention. (KPIs 1 & 2)

Anthony Fields, the owner of Copper City CrossFit in Montana added this:  “The hybrid memberships really provide a good structure and system for the coach and the client, to be able to have periodic touchpoints with their clients… Before, it was just sort of anecdotal. I’d be like, ‘Oh, I haven’t seen so and so in a while. I better give them a call.’ But now we have a structure to really help take better care of our clients and a system in place to make sure it happens.”
